In the event you may have forgotten, Nintendo is collaborating with Sony Pictures to create a live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda series.
Originally scheduled for worldwide cinema debut on March 26, 2027, Shigeru Miyamoto himself has disclosed that the release date will be pushed back slightly.
The movie has been scheduled for May 7th, 2027 – not a significant postponement, as it won’t make much of a difference given its distant release date.
Still, we appreciate the notice; thank you, Miyamoto-san.
The upcoming “The Legend of Zelda” film is being co-produced by the CEO of Nintendo in collaboration with Avi Arad, who’s known for producing a wide range of Marvel films such as “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Venom,” “Iron Man,” and many others.
As a dedicated enthusiast, I’m thrilled to acknowledge that the mastermind behind some of my favorite movies, including the Maze Runner series and the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, is none other than Wes Ball!
