Spider-Boy Faces Off With Marvel's New Spider-Girl (Exclusive)

As a seasoned gamer with a lifetime of Marvel comics under my belt, I can’t help but feel the excitement coursing through my veins as I dive into the latest development in the Spider-Verse – the arrival of the new Spider-Girl! Having grown up on Mayday Parker and Araña, it’s intriguing to see who will step into the shoes of this iconic character.

A fresh version of Spider-Girl is set to shake things up in the multiverse known as the Spider-Verse. The Marvel Universe’s Spider-Man corner has seen some unexpected developments over the past year, with one of the most notable being Spider-Boy, a brand new sidekick for our web-slinging hero. Dan Slott’s return to Spider-Man comics introduced this enigmatic character, Spider-Boy. Readers have uncovered bits and pieces about Spider-Boy through his own series, and the revelations continue in the upcoming issue. Instead of partnering with Spider-Girl, Spider-Boy finds himself facing off against this new superhero.

In an exclusive sneak peek, ComicBook unveils the upcoming issue #12 of ‘Spider-Boy’, penned by Dan Slott and illustrated by Paco Medina. The story introduces a new character, Spider-Girl, who engages in conflict with Spider-Boy rather than joining forces with him. Meanwhile, Spider-Boy is engaged in a partnership with Daredevil, aiming to apprehend Bullseye. This unfolds following a significant change in the dynamics of Spider-Boy’s life, causing him to ponder whether he should be Daredevil’s sidekick instead of Spider-Man’s ally.

Who is Marvel’s new Spider-Girl?

Michael Cho is the creator of the latest Spider-Girl character, who assumes the role that was previously held by several other individuals. Originally, Spider-Girl was Mayday Parker, daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson from a parallel dimension. Later, there was Anya Corazon, now known as Ara?a in the comic books. This year, Ara?a (played by Isabela Merced) appeared in the ‘Madame Web’ movie and made guest appearances in the Disney XD animated series ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’.

In the upcoming series, Spider-Boy, it’s yet uncertain who the new Spider-Girl will be. However, there might be a link to Bailey Briggs or a broader Spider-Multiverse. Spider-Boy made his debut at the end of the “Spider-Verse” saga.

Slott, in a recent announcement, expressed his excitement for fans to encounter the character known as Spider-Boy. He shared that this new addition will have a special impact on both the world of Spider-Man and the Marvel Universe. Having been an avid reader of Spider-Man comics himself, Slott has always dreamed of creating stories with this iconic cast. Among all the characters he’s helped bring to life, he is particularly thrilled about Spider-Boy. The artistic duties for this character will be handled by two legendary artists, Humberto Ramos and Mark Bagley, who are bringing Spider-Boy to life in the 616 universe. This new Spider-Boy possesses unique spider-powers, hidden connections to the darker aspects of Spider-Man’s past, and a story that will soon unfold independently.
