The hit Spider-Man movie that Netflix users had been streaming is no longer accessible as of April. But don’t worry, Spider-Man enthusiasts with a Disney+ subscription can rejoice since this film is now available on their platform.
Starting May 1st, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” has moved from Netflix and can now be streamed on Disney+. This means most “Spider-Man” movies are accessible on Disney+’s streaming platform, with only two significant titles still absent. Among them is “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, the prequel to the series. The popular crossover film “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which continued Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, is also yet to be added to Disney+’s library.
The movie titled “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” was helmed by a trio of directors – Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. The script was penned by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham. Shameik Moore provides the voice for our main character, Spider-Man in this story. The narrative continues with Miles joining forces with Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Woman (played by Hailee Steinfeld) and a group of other Spider-characters to combat a new villain, Spot (voiced by Jason Schwartzman).
The movie includes the vocal talents of Brian Tyree Henry (Jeff Morales), Lauren Velez (Rio Morales), Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker), Issa Rae (Jess Drew), Karan Soni (Spider-Man India), Daniel Kaluuya (Spider-Punk), Oscar Isaac (Miguel O’Hara), Shea Whigham (George Stacy), Jorma Taccone (Vulture), Mahershala Ali (Aaron Davis), Harrel Jerome (Miles G. Morales), Andy Samberg (Scarlet Spider), Amandla Stenberg (Spider-Byte), Taran Killam (Web-Slinger), Kimiko Glenn (Peni Parker), and Nic Novicki (Lego Spider-Man). This production is overseen by Lord, MIller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg.
As a dedicated movie enthusiast, I’m excitedly counting down the days until “Across the Spider-Verse” hits the big screen! This sequel is part of a thrilling three-part saga, with “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” set to conclude the journey. The production process for this anticipated animated movie has been a bit sluggish, but fear not! It’s now officially scheduled to premiere on [release date]. Although we’ve got more than two years until its arrival, the creators assure us that the wait will be worth it for everyone involved in bringing this Spidey adventure to life.
Last year, according to reports, Karan Soni stated that since it’s an animation project, it’s unique and requires a considerable amount of time. He added that he can’t wait for its release as he’s genuinely thrilled about it.
Expect an Emotional Ending in Beyond the Spider-Verse
In a different conversation with Deadline, Brian Tyree Henry hinted, “Plans are underway, it’s on its way. There’s no doubt about it and this one is even more grandiose than the previous one. As you know, we always deliver something special. By the way, be prepared with your tissues.
