As a seasoned gamer and comic book aficionado with a soft spot for the Spider-Man universe, I must say that the upcoming live-action series “Spider-Noir” starring Nicolas Cage has me thoroughly excited! The set photos of the costume are a delightful treat, and it’s promising to see that they’re sticking close to the comic book origins.
The character Nicolas Cage played in the Spider-Verse animated movies, Spider-Man Noir, is being brought to life in a new live-action series called Spider-Noir. Production on this series has begun and we’ve seen some unusual scenes being filmed with Cage, as only he can portray. But the pictures fans have been eagerly anticipating are finally here: images of the actual Spider-Man Noir costume that will be used in the show!

According to TMZ’s report, it isn’t Nicolas Cage wearing the suit, but instead his stunt double who appears on ‘Spider-Noir’. Despite this, Marvel enthusiasts are likely to be thrilled by the show’s apparent commitment to a comic-book faithful portrayal of Spider-Man Noir. Moreover, recent set videos hint that the car chase stunts and the 1930s-1940s era setting from the comics will indeed be vividly depicted in the series.
In the movie “Spider-Noir,” Lamorne Morris from “New Girl” plays Robbie Robertson. According to ComicBook’s latest interview with Morris, he hinted that the film is expected to be more outrageous than what the on-set pictures might imply.
Morris shared that he’s under an oath of confidentiality, but he’ll share this: The project will offer a unique television experience, something never seen before. It’s absolutely mind-blowing and I feel fortunate to contribute to portraying this new take on Robbie Robertson. If you know me, you can expect some Lamorne elements in there, which is why they chose me for the role. I can’t reveal much more, but I believe fans will be thrilled with the final product.
The full Spider-Noir cast list includes Lukas Haas (Inception), Brendan Gleeson (Edge of Tomorrow, Gangs of New York), Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) Cameron Britton (Mindhunter), Cary Christopher (Days of Our Lives), Michael Kostroff (Luke Cage), Scott MacArthur (The Righteous Gemstones), Joe Massingill (Barry), Whitney Rice (Jury Duty), Li Jun Li (The Exorcist), and Amanda Schull (Suits) in recurring roles.
Harry Bradbeer, an award-winning director known for his work on “Fleabag” and “Killing Eve,” is taking charge as the series producer and is also executive producing the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (“The Lost City”, “22 Jump Street”) and Steve Lightfoot (“Marvel’s The Punisher”, “Shantaram”), both serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, with the role of developing the series alongside an Oscar-winning team from “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” comprising Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.
In 2025, Spider-Noir will make its domestic premiere on MGM+’s regular television channel, and later be available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
