As a die-hard Splatoon fan who has been squidding through the colorful battlefields of Inkopolis for what feels like an eternity, I can’t help but feel a tinge of melancholy at the news that regular updates for Splatoon 3 will cease. Two years is a blink of an eye in the life of a squid kid, and I’ve made countless memories during those ink-credible times.
According to the latest news from Nintendo, further updates for “Splatoon 3,” released in September 2022 on the Nintendo Switch, will not be forthcoming. Since its launch, this third-person shooter game has been enriched with numerous content additions, including new items, weapons, and maps. Additionally, a steady stream of Splatfests with various themes have kept players engaged.
Absolutely, this doesn’t imply a total absence of future assistance. We’ll carry on with festivals such as Splatoween, Spring Fest, Frosty Fest, and Summer Nights on a rotating basis. Big Run, Eggstra Work, and Monthly Challenges will also persist. However, any weapon modifications will be rolled out “when necessary.

Following two fantastic years of Splatoon 3, the routine updates are about to conclude. Fret not! Traditional events like Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Summer Nights will persist, with a few familiar themes reappearing as well!
Updates for weapon adjustments will be released as needed.
