Splatoon 3 Reveals Splatfest Grand Festival Winner

As a die-hard Splatoon fan since the very beginning, I must say that the Grand Festival in Splatoon 3 was nothing short of spectacular! It was truly a celebration of our beloved franchise’s rich history and promising future, all wrapped up in a concert festival atmosphere.

In the game Splatoon 3, the grand festival has ended, marking the culmination of a fierce three-way competition involving teams representing the past, present, and future. This time around, each team had its own idol group from the Splatoon universe: Callie and Marie symbolized Team Past, Pearl and Marina represented Team Present, while Shiver, Frye, and Big Man stood for Team Future. At halftime, Team Past was in the lead with 35.12%, followed by Team Present at 33.33% and Team Future at 31.55%. In the end, it appears that Team Past managed to maintain their lead after all the votes were counted!

At the Grand Festival, Team Past garnered 45 points (33.42%) from the Sneak Peek round, 35 points (24.75%) from Most Votes, an impressive 120 points each for Open Battles and Pro Battles, and a whopping 180 points for Tri-Color Battles. Adding it up, they earned a grand total of 500 points. As the Splatoon series marches towards its 10th anniversary in 2025, it’s understandable why so many players hold fond memories of the past!

Undeniably, some enthusiasts might express dissatisfaction about the outcomes, yet overall, the Grand Festival was an exhilarating event that left much to be celebrated by participants. Nintendo truly went above and beyond to create an atmosphere reminiscent of a grand concert festival, with various stages hosting idol groups. Additionally, players were offered exclusive photo opportunities, even having the chance to sit on-stage during musical performances as rewards. To wrap up the day’s festivities, the Now or Never Seven performed their latest single “Three Wishes.” In case you didn’t guess, the Now or Never Seven is a fresh ensemble made up of all seven characters from the franchise.

In the previous two installments of Splatoon, Nintendo concluded significant Splatfests that shaped the subsequent games. The Callie vs. Marie Splatfest impacted the single-player mode for Splatoon 2, and the Chaos vs. Order Splatfest in Splatoon 2 significantly affected the campaign of Splatoon 3. Players are speculating that the outcome of the Grand Festival will similarly influence a potential fourth Splatoon game, but as of now, no official announcements have been made. Although Nintendo hasn’t confirmed Splatoon 4 yet, with a new Nintendo console on the horizon, it’s likely we’ll hear some news about it soon!
