Split Fiction: Full List of 8 Chapters & 12 Side Stories!

The co-op madness of Split Fiction has blown players away since its release in March 2025.

The new game developed by Hazelight Studios, the creators behind It Takes Two, has garnered some remarkable ratings, including our own assessment.

During gameplay, players progress through an assortment of distinct stages, which are broken down into smaller sections known as sub-stages, as well as additional narratives set aside from the main plot.

As a gamer, when I find myself pondering about my progress or simply curious to know the total number of missions in this game, I’m always glad to discover that I can easily check it out.

How many chapters are in Split Fiction?

The storyline of Split Fiction is broken down into eight main sections, each containing differing amounts of subplots and side narratives.

Initially, each chapter may have only a few sub-sections, but as you progress, some chapters will include over ten sub-sections, making a total of eight chapters in all.

Some of these sub-levels may include a sidestory, but this is rather infrequent; there are merely 12 such instances scattered across the game’s eight chapters.

How long is Split Fiction?

The game called “Split Fiction” usually requires about 12 hours for completion, but the time might differ a bit depending on each individual player.

By counting sub-levels, it’s apparent that Chapters 4 and 5 are the most extensive in the game, as they both consist of 12 sub-sections.

To clarify, it’s important to note that not all sub-sections have the same length, which means that spending the most time on certain chapters isn’t automatically guaranteed just because they are longer.
