Notably, this figure doubled during its launch week, reaching an impressive two million sales. It’s also important to note that their previous blockbuster title, It Takes Two, took a full month to reach one million sales.
The game “Split Fiction” has been widely praised since its release, earning a Metascore of 91 from 92 reviews, which makes it Electronic Arts’ first game in 13 years to receive a rating of 90+. This cooperative action-adventure title also enjoys an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with approximately 98% of nearly 20,000 user reviews giving it a favorable review at the time of writing.
Beyond just saying that, it’s worth noting that the release has been quite successful for Electronic Arts, ranking as their second-largest debut on Steam with nearly 260,000 simultaneous players at its peak. The game titled “Split Fiction” can also be played on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 platforms. Our review assigns it a score of seven out of ten. We appreciated the engaging gameplay and presentation, but found room for improvement in terms of dialogue and character development.
