Split Fiction Smashes First Weekend in the UK, Physical Sales Dominated by PS5

Following reports that It Takes Two has already sold more than 20 million units worldwide, there’s anticipation about whether Split Fiction will match this impressive feat. However, its promising start in the UK’s physical sales chart gives us hope.

The game launched as the top pick, with approximately 89% of its physical copies being for the PS5. Its previous edition demonstrated that there’s a demand for such thrilling cooperative play. Although it’s not exactly a follow-up to It Takes Two, we anticipate it will perform exceptionally well throughout 2025.

Last week, I was on top of the gaming world with Monster Hunter Wilds leading the charts. However, this week, it’s been dethroned and now stands in second place, paving the way for a new champion.

In addition, the HD Remasters of Suikoden I & II, titled Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, along with the new release Two Point Museum, also made it into the top 10, placing at the fourth and ninth spots respectively.

Here’s the latest UK top 10 in full (physical sales only).
