1047 Games, developers of Splitgate 2, have announced they will include two highly-requested features from the original game in the upcoming release. These additions were requested by fans since the launch of the free-to-play first-person shooter on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X earlier this month. Using their official account on Twitter, 1047 Games revealed five main objectives currently underway in the studio. One such objective is addressing bugs that hinder users from completing weekly and daily challenges. Additionally, they’re focusing on enhancing overall performance and reducing Battle Royale load times. While these aren’t the most thrilling updates, there are more improvements to come.
Beyond these features, the studio also emphasizes incorporating advanced skill tests, often referred to as camouflage for weapons. Players can earn these camos by repeatedly using these specific guns, a feature that was present in the original game and is highly demanded by Splitgate 2 players, particularly on social media platforms.
1047 Games consistently focuses on incorporating a Ranked Arena mode, a feature that’s currently absent amidst the game’s numerous casual play options.
It seems that no definite timeline has been set for these updates, but if the studio considers them priority, we might expect them within the next few months or even weeks. As of now, without Ranked and Mastery Challenges, there isn’t much incentive to extensively play Splitgate 2. Therefore, it’s likely that these features will be rolled out sooner rather than later, although this is purely speculation on my part.
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to announce that Splitgate 2 is now available for free! You can grab it on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
