Splitgate 2, Out Now, Unveils Battle Royale Mode Featuring 5 Maps At Once

On June 6th, 2025, Splitgate 2 has formally launched, transitioning from its open beta stage, now available for play on PlayStation 5.

To commemorate this exciting news, a trailer has been unveiled, marking the introduction of an impressive new element in our free-to-play shooter – a Battle Royale game mode.

Interestingly enough, this Battle Royale map isn’t just one continuous area. Instead, it consists of five distinct maps linked together through portals that players can move between.

In a standard elimination style, it accommodates 15 teams, each consisting of 4 players, totaling 60 individuals. During the game, unexpected incidents like portal deactivations are introduced to challenge teams and require quick strategic decision-making.

The proposal seems quite ambitious, but it definitely enhances the diverse selection of arena-style multiplayer options available in the game.
