As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that “Splitgate 2” has officially left open beta and is now available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC! But As you can guess, it’s a battle royale game with a twist – portals. So, gear up and check out the reveal trailer below to get a taste of this exciting new adventure!
15 squads, each consisting of four players, initially appear on the game’s map, competing for dominance. Initially armed with a pistol, you can acquire new weapons and protective gear from treasure chests, airdrops, or by defeating opposing players. Additionally, there are Credits that allow you to buy powerful weapons and upgrades, such as enhancements for your armor and Portal Gun. What sets this map, Split Worlds, apart is its composition of five distinct biomes linked through World Portals, which include a volcano, desert, and even floating asteroids.
Incidents like the malfunction of all portals can happen too, just as you might encounter an event that brings down your teammates. However, you have the power to resurrect fallen comrades. The crucial difference is that if every member on your team gets knocked out, it’s a game loss. As for how Splitgate: Battle Royale will be received by players, only time will give us the answer, especially considering the fierce competition from games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and others. Keep an eye out for more updates, and don’t forget to check the roadmap for Splitgate 2 here.
