The popular manga “Spy x Family” has been on a break during the Fall, but recently there’s been an update concerning the creator’s health that’s causing concern. This manga, initially published by Shueisha through the Jump+ app, quickly became one of their biggest hits and its fame has only grown in recent years, thanks to the exceptional anime adaptations of both the TV series and feature films. The popularity of the manga has skyrocketed due to these adaptations, bringing more readers than ever before.
As an ardent fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the next installment of “Spy x Family,” but sadly, since Chapter 107 dropped in October, we’ve been on a hiatus. Initially, it was planned to resume around late November, but Shueisha recently announced an extension due to creator Tatsuya Endo’s health issues. However, there’s a silver lining – a new chapter is expected to surface before the year 2024 concludes!
Spy x Family Creator’s Poor Health Leads to Hiatus
Due to the poor health of the creator Endo Tatsuya-sensei, the release of SPY x FAMILY has been postponed from its original date on December 9th. However, it’s now confirmed that Chapter 108 will be published on December 23rd instead. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
It’s fortunate that the hiatus announcement doesn’t delay the previously established release date by Shueisha, which suggests that while Endo is unwell, they aren’t overexerting themselves. A creator’s health is always a top priority for fans, and this is even more crucial in today’s industry with many prominent creators passing away. In fact, it’s been suggested that manga creators have a shorter lifespan on average, making their well-being more important than the next chapter of the story.
What’s Next for Spy x Family?
The manga series “Spy x Family” is set to carry on with fresh chapters in 2025. We don’t know exactly what new storyline Tatsuya Endo’s original work will follow, but it seems the extended Desmond family may become more crucial as they deepen their connections with Loid and Yor. Additionally, we can expect Anya to enter her second year at Eden Academy soon, which could potentially bring about even more complications than before.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that “Spy × Family” has revealed plans for Season 3 of the anime! However, they haven’t disclosed a specific release date or window just yet (as of this writing).
