Oh boy, oh boy! If you’ve ever found yourself hankering for a good old-fashioned, heart-stopping adventure, then let me tell you about my latest escapade in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of STC Malachite. After a chat with the ever-so-wise Prof. Ozersky, I found myself faced with a task that would put even the bravest of Stalkers to the test – activating the device in Mirror VPC to help our dear professor gain access to the X-Network.
Following your tour at STC Malachite and a chat with Prof. Ozersky, he will instruct you to head to the Mirror VPC facility. Your mission is to switch on the device so the professor can unlock data within the X-Network. However, be prepared to confront hordes of zombies and mutants inside this building. Furthermore, the intricate structure with multiple rooms and floors makes navigation quite challenging. Additionally, while on the A Minor Incident quest in Stalker 2, you’ll also need to retrieve some vital documents along the way.
How To Complete A Minor Incident Quest in Stalker 2
In the A Minor Incident quest within Stalker 2, to locate Mirror VPC’s entrance, simply stick to the objective marker. Nearby, you’ll spot an abandoned truck close to the entryway, but it won’t require a key to open. Venture inside and make your way along the pathway, ascend the stairs. Proceed with caution as you enter the room, as a band of mutated rats will charge at you.
As I traverse through rooms piled high with fallen comrades, I can’t shake off the eerie feeling that follows. In the final chamber, a pack of mutated rats awaits, their menacing eyes glowing in the dim light. Dispatching them is a grisly task, but it must be done. On a table, I come across the “Mirror Activation Memo,” a piece of intel that could change our fate. Now, my mission requires me to locate and install a fuse into the switchboard. I’ll have to retrace my steps back to the large room filled with corpses in search of Sgt. Nikitin, hoping to find his body and the crucial fuse he was guarding.
Following your acquisition of the item, feel free to revisit the Mirror Switchboard Room and attach the fuse onto the central control panel there. After you’ve activated the switch, the bodies will transform into zombies, so it’s essential to eliminate them by landing precision shots on their heads.
How To Activate Mirror Facility
After this point, things become a bit trickier as there are multiple goals to accomplish during the A Minor Incident quest. Here’s a breakdown of the tasks required to see it through:
- Return to the large room and kill all zombies.
- Pass through the southwest entrance to find an open bulkhead door.
- Climb up the stairs and follow the passage.
- You can find the Connection Instructions paper on the table.
- Open the door to your right and follow the passage.
- Climb up another flight of stairs and follow the passage.
- Kill the controller in the control room.
As I press the red button in this game, I find that the Mirror Facility stubbornly refuses to power up, blocked by something. Looks like I’ve got no choice but to step outside and take on the Chimera lurking out there. This mutant is no joke – one hit too many, and it’s game over for me. But once I’ve vanquished this beast, I’ll give that red button another go, finishing up my mission in the process.
The A Minor Incident quest doesn’t conclude there. You need to journey to Rostok next, where you’ll find Richter at an underground tavern. He’ll share some important details with you. Then, head to the Roofed Warehouse to connect with Dvupalov, which triggers the In Search of Past Glory mission.
