Stalker 2: How To Get The Weird Nut Legendary Artifact

As a seasoned Stalker, I’ve navigated through the treacherous wastelands of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone more times than I care to remember. But nothing quite compares to the heart-pounding adrenaline rush that comes with braving the inferno known as the Fire Whirl Arch anomaly, all in the name of securing one of the game’s most coveted artifacts – the elusive Weird Nut.

“In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, some of the most striking sights players will encounter as they explore the zone are the arch anomalies. The Fire Whirl Arch anomaly can be discovered in the Cooling Towers area north of the map within an abandoned reactor.

In the game “Stalker 2”, you might have encountered gravitational anomalies such as Bulba, tornadoes, and luminescent, toxic lights. However, nothing can fully prepare you for the blazing conflagration you’ll face – a fiery ordeal essential to obtaining one of the game’s legendary artifacts, the enigmatic “Weird Nut”.

How to Get the Weird Nut Artifact in Stalker 2

Adventurers seeking the mysterious Weird Nut artifact should make their way to the Fire Whirl anomaly, which is nestled within the Cooling Towers area. This location is positioned northeast of the Slag Heap headquarters in Garbage, and during your journey, you’ll pass by the Cement Factory base. Once there, search for the Fire Whirl in the northeastern corner of the region. It’s inside an old, red-glowing reactor that can be spotted on the map within the abandoned sector of the Cooling Towers.

Once you get to the Fire Whirl Abnormal Zone, you’ll need to venture into the reactor and ascend to the peak of the platforms to snatch the Odd Nut. But be warned, it won’t be a simple ascent because after some time, the Fire Whirl will emit heat, scorching everything within its defined area. You can gauge the extent of the burning impact by observing the smoldering red metal on the platform.

In Stalker 2, here’s my take on scaling the Fire Whirl Anomaly to nab that peculiar Nut artifact:

Reaching the Top of Metal Platforms

To avoid being harmed by falling from metallic structures or being trapped in a Fire Whirl’s intense heat, it’s essential to save your game frequently and often. This way, if something unfortunate occurs, you can quickly reload the saved version of your game.

To obtain the mysterious Weird Bolt artifact, you need to ascend the metallic structures surrounding the enigmatic Fire Whirl anomaly. Here’s a simple guide on how to accomplish this:

  1. Head inside the reactor from the right side and allow the heat from the Fire Whirl to dissipate once before making the climb. Once the heat has retreated from the metal platforms, climb up the set of ladders on the right to start the climb.
  2. Jump on the metal pipe and run across it. At the end of it, you’ll need to jump and grab the ladder on the right to climb higher.
  3. At the top of the ladder, you should head towards the platform on the left and wait for another heat release to dissipate from the Fire Whirl. After it completes, run across the metal walkway to reach the other side.
  4. Jump over the gap at the end of the metal walkway to reach the final stretch of this traversal puzzle.

Retrieving Weird Nut & Escaping Fire Whirl Anomaly

As you reach the conclusion of your last pathway, dive onto the scorching platform below and swiftly snatch the Weird Nut artifact that sits atop it. Keep in mind that this is not the final step of the puzzle; you must still find a safe way to descend from these metal platforms and flee the Fire Whirl before another heat burst occurs.

As a gamer, I’d say: “Skip the metal platforms lurking behind you, they’re a quick trip out of the game. Instead, post-collecting that peculiar Nut, glance towards the left. There, you’ll spot a metal grill with a center hole. Jump onto it and then leap through the hole to ensure a safe landing on the ground below.

Following that, swiftly exit the reactor to dodge the impending heat blast. Later, you can arm yourself with the Weird Nut Artifact which will substantially reduce bleeding impacts. However, using a medkit while wearing this artifact will slow down the healing process. Despite this minor disadvantage, having Weird Nut as part of your character’s gear is advantageous.
