In the game Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players can uncover numerous side missions just by engaging with non-player characters (NPCs) within the vast open world. One such NPC is a character named Mytryk, who requests Skif to fetch his gun from the mutant-infested underground tunnels. Initially, this task may appear simple, but as Skif collects more information during his quest for the weapon, he stumbles upon evidence of deception, turning the straightforward mission into an intriguing tale of deceit.
How to Start the Uninvited Guests Side Mission in Stalker 2
To initiate the “Uninvited Guests” mission, gamers should look for Mytryk Genius who can be found inside one of the smaller structures within the “Concrete Forest,” which is situated in the “Cement Factory” district in the game “Stalker 2.”
After conversing with him, he’ll reveal that his weapon has gone missing within the subterranean passages, and he requires Skif’s assistance to recover it. Once players agree to help, the side mission will commence, with Mytryk making his way towards the entrance of the underground tunnels.
Finding Mytryk Genius’ Gun from Tunnels
Once players decide to follow Mytryk, they will find the entrance to subterranean passages. Descending through the hatch and entering these tunnels, you’ll come across a horde of mutated rodents advancing towards you. You have the option to eradicate them or carry on with the objective of your mission.
Within the tunnels, follow the right-hand path all the way until it leads you into an underground complex. In this location, you’ll meet two adversaries known as Burers who will try to halt your mission’s advancement. Act swiftly and defeat them, then ascend the staircase and enter the upper hallway. Here, you’ll find Mytryk Genius’ gun called “Decider” on the left side.
As a gamer diving back into Stalker 2, here’s how I’d approach the Uninvited Guests quest: Make your way back to Mytryk and give him that gun of yours. In return, he’ll shower you with some valuable Coupons. But hey, if you’re hankering to keep that “Decider” item, you’ve got an extra task on your hands.
Finding Eight-Ball’s Body & Confronting Mytryk About It (Optional)
Following your gun retrieval, make your way back downstairs, and you’ll come across a corpse close to some wooden crates. Search the body to obtain a PDA that discloses the deceased as Eight-Ball. This device will also expose Mytryk’s actions, revealing he trailed Eight-Ball to his cache, abandoning him to be attacked by mutants.
Upon receiving this new insight, return to Mytryk and address him concerning Eight-Ball’s body. Instead of giving him the “Decider” weapon, opt for the “I’m Keeping It” alternative. By doing so, you’ll be able to secure the rare Fora-221 “Decider” assault rifle exclusively in Stalker 2, thus teaching Mytryk a valuable lesson about backstabbing fellow Stalkers.
