It’s been shared that Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, available on Game Pass, has reached an impressive milestone with over 6 million players since its release in November 2024.
The studio found it hard to believe that they would attract such a large number of players, given Stalker 2’s challenging production history. Originally slated for release in 2012, its development was halted, then resumed, and postponed again due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, causing delays in completion.
The studio expressed heartfelt appreciation and pride, acknowledging that everyone has made a distinctive impression in our workspace.
Today, the cacophony at The Zone surpasses any previous levels! Rest stops are filled with stalkers serenading tunes on their guitars. Laughter echoes everywhere – from Zalissya to Wild Island and beyond! At one point, even the Quiet’s Camp was gridlocked with people. Today marks the 6th anniversary of this joyous chaos!

In the month of November 2024, Stalker 2 surpassed the sale of 1 million units on PC and Xbox within 24 hours. However, it’s important to note that this figure doesn’t account for all those who have played the game, as developer GSC has revealed that a larger number of individuals have experienced it through Game Pass. Stalker 2 was made available on Game Pass at its launch.
At this point, it remains unclear whether Stalker 2 will be playable on the PlayStation 5, unlike certain Xbox games that eventually make their way to the platform.
