As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that I recently experienced an impressive update for STALKER 2 in May 2025. This update, version 1.4, brought about significant improvements, particularly in the behavior of mutants and AI combat. It wasn’t just a simple patch; it was a tidal wave of enhancements. These included a host of balance adjustments for main quests, side missions, and open-world interactions, as well as technical updates to smooth out gameplay.

It’s no secret that the journey to complete STALKER 2 has been a tough one. However, the developers chose not to reveal the specific weapons that will be included. After the latest update in May, and keeping with the Q2 roadmap, the team hasn’t yet revealed an exact release date for update 1.5, but they mentioned they’re aiming for next month. On top of that, there are exciting expansions on the horizon that promise to offer fresh new perspectives in gameplay, along with the eagerly anticipated multiplayer co-op mode, which unfortunately still lacks a specific release date.

In April, we unveiled the Q2 2025 content plan for Update 1.5 within the STALKER 2 series. Since then, our development team has fulfilled various features as outlined in this roadmap, such as addressing essential A-Life issues, introducing new controller functions, and adding squirrels, while continuously enhancing stability and visual aspects.
