playstack unveiled a solo follow-up for Mortal Shell, teasing a “substantial enhancement” over the initial game, featuring “unleashed, heart-pounding battles, more intricate weapon crafting with numerous customization choices, and a focus on unrestricted exploration”.
The announcement unveils: “Mortal Shell 2‘s interconnected open-world unfolds along serpentine paths watched over by the desperate and fervent. Adventurers who explore are granted fresh storylines, new character shells, potent and unusual weaponry, enhancements, mysteries, and additional content.

Traverse the crumbling sanctuaries of long-forgotten gods, stride through taboo woods and frozen tombs, delve into fortresses chiseled from bone.
Amongst these forgotten landmarks, there are over 60 daunting dungeons spread around. Each one presents a tough test of your skills and equipment that you’ve gathered during your journey.
The game appears delightfully crisp in every aspect that matters, yet somehow it leaves us somewhat drained by the abundance of dark fantasy titles. The release date for this game is set for 2026.
The game has all the right textures and feels, but we’re feeling a bit tired of so many dark fantasy games. It won’t be released until 2026.
