Developer “Dear Villagers” has revealed that the high-speed sci-fi action game, Star Overdrive, which was first made available exclusively on Nintendo Switch, will now be launched for PlayStation 5 on a specified date.
After spending a week exclusively on Nintendo’s console, the game has been rescheduled to be released on other platforms like PS5, and it’s currently set for June 19th, 2025.

On an vibrant extraterrestrial planet, the game finds you navigating on a swift hoverboard, executing stunts and sailing over diverse landscapes. During quieter moments, there’s tactile combat to participate in which involves employing various skills and equipment at your command.
On Nintendo Life, the game received a commendable 7 out of 10. It was lauded for its smooth hoverboard navigation, engaging storyline, and appealing visuals.
On PlayStation 5, we haven’t seen any gameplay clips yet, but we can hope that its technical performance will surpass the Nintendo Switch version.
