When I heard that the show would be coming to a close after its fifth season, I was heartbroken. But then came the news that all five seasons would be released in a Steelbook Blu-ray set, and my excitement soared! Now, I can rewatch my favorite episodes at any time, and share them with fellow fans who haven’t yet had the chance to experience this masterpiece.
I was even more thrilled when I learned that our beloved crew would continue their adventures in a new comic book series by IDW Publishing. It’s like the show never really ended – it’s just moved to a different medium, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Show creator Mike McMahan’s passion for the show is evident, and I share his sentiment that five seasons is nothing short of a miracle. As a fan, I can’t help but feel grateful for every moment we were given with the U.S.S. Cerritos crew. The reception was positive enough for IDW to continue the narrative. Now, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos returns with a fresh ongoing series, ensuring the adventures don’t cease. The new series is authored once more by Ryan North with artwork by Derek Charm. Although the show may be finished, it’s comforting to know that our beloved characters will continue their missions, safeguarding the universe.
