Star Trek: Lower Decks Full Series Steelbook Blu-ray Is Up for Pre-Order

As a devoted fan of Star Trek: Lower Decks, I can confidently say that my life has been enriched by this brilliant animated series. The show’s witty humor, engaging characters, and clever references to the Star Trek universe have brought me countless hours of joy and laughter.

When I heard that the show would be coming to a close after its fifth season, I was heartbroken. But then came the news that all five seasons would be released in a Steelbook Blu-ray set, and my excitement soared! Now, I can rewatch my favorite episodes at any time, and share them with fellow fans who haven’t yet had the chance to experience this masterpiece.

I was even more thrilled when I learned that our beloved crew would continue their adventures in a new comic book series by IDW Publishing. It’s like the show never really ended – it’s just moved to a different medium, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Show creator Mike McMahan’s passion for the show is evident, and I share his sentiment that five seasons is nothing short of a miracle. As a fan, I can’t help but feel grateful for every moment we were given with the U.S.S. Cerritos crew. And as a joke, I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble they’ll get into next – maybe even in a Lower Decks movie someday! Live long and prosper, Lower Decks!

The beloved animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, which concluded recently on Paramount+, is now available for fans as a Steelbook full-series Blu-ray set containing all five seasons. You can purchase this set on Amazon for $58.99. If you’re only interested in the final season, it’s currently available for pre-order at $25.99 on Amazon as well. Although no information about a release date or special features has been revealed yet, you can secure your copy now and take advantage of any upcoming pre-order deals by receiving an automatic discount when they become available.

Last April, it was announced that Star Trek: Lower Deck would conclude after its fifth season on Paramount+. Fans quickly took to social media, expressing their adoration for the series in hopes of finding a new platform to keep it running – a tactic that had previously saved another Paramount+ show, Star Trek: Prodigy. The show’s creator and executive producer, Mike McMahan, spoke with Awards Radar about the ending of Star Trek: Lower Decks and his dreams of continuing the series indefinitely.

In McMahan’s perspective, the show could have concluded, but for fans, the journey persists, albeit in a different format. Back in 2022, Star Trek: Lower Decks embarked on a new adventure with its comic book debut, a three-issue series by IDW Publishing, penned by Ryan North and illustrated by Chris Fenoglio. The reception was positive enough for IDW to continue the narrative. Now, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos returns with a fresh ongoing series, ensuring the adventures don’t cease. The new series is authored once more by Ryan North with artwork by Derek Charm. Although the show may be finished, it’s comforting to know that our beloved characters will continue their missions, safeguarding the universe.
