Star Wars Outlaws Launch Trailer Released

Star Wars Outlaws Launch Trailer Released

As a long-time Star Wars enthusiast who has witnessed the highs and lows of the franchise’s expansive universe, I must say that the anticipation for “Star Wars Outlaws” is truly electrifying! Having grown up with the original trilogy, followed by the prequels, and more recently devouring the sequel films, TV shows, books, and games, this new open-world adventure promises to be a thrilling addition to my Star Wars journey.

In about a week, the highly-anticipated game “Star Wars Outlaws” is set to drop, and Ubisoft is generating excitement with a fresh launch trailer. This video offers sneak peeks into various scenes from the game, as well as insights into its storyline. For those who haven’t been closely tracking the game since its initial announcement, this trailer provides a great opportunity to learn more about protagonist Kay Vess and some iconic Star Wars characters that will make an appearance. Naturally, long-time fans who have eagerly waited for its release should find plenty to relish as well!

The launch trailer for Star Wars Outlaws can be found below.

The launch trailer doesn’t mention it, but the setting for Star Wars Outlaws is during the time period between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. This setting means players will encounter familiar villains like Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire and the Empire itself. If you enjoyed Solo: A Star Wars Story, keep an eye out for Qi’ra in this game. At the end of that movie, Qi’ra joined Crimson Dawn, and by now, she has taken over the criminal organization. You can see both Jabba and Qi’ra in today’s launch trailer.

After the game’s release, I, as a player, can anticipate content centered around two iconic Star Wars characters – Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka. In Story Pack 1, we’ll delve deep into Lando’s adventures, while Story Pack 2 will put us in the shoes of the cunning Hondo Ohnaka. Some may recognize Hondo from the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series, or perhaps from the Smuggler’s Run attraction in Galaxy’s Edge. As for other familiar faces like Luke, Leia, and Boba Fett, there’s a chance they might make an appearance given the game’s timeline, but at this moment, no official announcements have been made.

The future response from critics and enthusiasts towards the new Star Wars video game, Star Wars Outlaws, is yet unknown. Given its distinction as the franchise’s inaugural open-world title, there’s considerable anticipation for it. Many well-received games have been derived from the Star Wars universe, so it will be intriguing to determine if Star Wars Outlaws can compete with them. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long to discover its standing, as the game is set for release on August 30th.
