Star Wars Shatterpoint to Add Rogue One Characters in 2025, Announces New Game Mode

As a dedicated fan of Star Wars: Shatterpoint, I couldn’t be more excited about the recent announcements from Atomic Mass Games! The addition of new Squad Packs and the introduction of the Key Operations game mode have truly reinvigorated my enthusiasm for this unique tactical strategy game.

I’m thrilled to share that during the recent Ministravaganza event, Atomic Mass Games gave us a sneak peek into the future of Star Wars: Shatterpoint. They unveiled exciting new developments for the game, including a fresh asymmetric game mode, effective immediately. In this update, they introduced three Squad Packs filled with characters from Rogue One, as well as new Jedi and Clone Wars packs. The majority of these packs are set to drop in Q1 and Q2 2025, following previously announced sets. I can’t wait to get my hands on these new additions!

The new sets include the following:

  • Wisdom of the Council: Jedi Masters Ki-Adi-Mundi and Shaak Ti with Padawan Learners
  • Requesting Your Surrender: Jedi Master Kit Fisto, Nahdar Vebb, Clone Commander Fil, and Fil’s
    Clones.
  • Deploy the Garrison: Director Orson Krennic, Death Troopers, and Shoretroopers.
  • All the Way: Cassian Andor, K-2S0, and Rebel Pathfinders
  • Terror From Below: Riff Tamson, Nossor Ri, and two Separatist Aqua Droids
  • Delta Squad, Form Up: Boss, Fixer, Sev, and Scorch
  • This is Rogue One: Jyn Erso, Chirrut Imwe, Baze Malbus, and Bodhi Rook

In “Star Wars: Shatterpoint,” the new game mode called Key Operations was introduced, offering asymmetric missions and storyline integration instead of the typical back-and-forth gameplay. Unlike a tug-of-war scenario, Key Operations centers around achieving mission objectives. One player assumes the role of the Aggressor, while the other becomes the Sentinel. For more details on this game mode’s rules, check here. Two missions have been disclosed so far: one called “Trigger the Chain Reaction,” which emphasizes destroying a power core, and another titled “Extract the Agent,” where protecting a valuable asset during their exit from battle is crucial.

In the thrilling world of “Star Wars: Shatterpoint,” I find myself immersed as a passionate player, leading a compact team of characters through an intricate series of conflicts. These engagements are collectively known as “Struggles.” The objectives shift dramatically from one Struggle to another, compelling me to adapt swiftly and adjust my strategies on the fly – even in the heat of a battle round.
