Star Wars: Visions Season 3 Drops Oct 2025 – The Ronin Is Back and It’s Epic!

Star Wars: Visions season 3‘s official launch date is now set, however, you’ll need to be patient as it’s not arriving right away.

At the Star Wars Celebration gathering in Tokyo, the show’s leading producer, James Waugh, disclosed that the well-liked animated series will make its comeback on October 29th, 2025.

Although this delay might be frustrating for viewers of the Disney+ series, it’s shaping up to be rewarding since an adored character from the fandom is set to reappear.

Indeed, the character known as The Ronin made a big impact with his debut in the first season’s premiere episode “The Duel.” In the upcoming sequel, we’ll see him return to our screens, and this time it’s called “The Duel: Retribution.

In the upcoming episode, director Takanobu Mizuno will take charge, resuming the story of the ex-Sith character known as ‘Grim’, who has gained widespread recognition among Star Wars enthusiasts worldwide – leading to statues, merchandise, and even a separate novel based on him.

Besides The Duel, other stories are getting continuations too. For instance, in Season 3, we have “The Lost Ones,” which is a sequel to “The Village Bride,” and “Child of Hope,” the follow-up to “The Ninth Jedi.

In 2026, the Ninth Jedi is slated to have its own self-contained series, arising from the Star Wars: Visions Presents initiative. This project intends to provide the extended narratives of Visions with ample room to unfold, beyond the typical shorter-length episodes.

Discussing Visions Presents, Waugh hinted at an exciting new path the anthology series might take by suggesting it offers a “fresh and daring perspective.

When talking about the show’s influence, he mentioned: “Generally speaking, Visions was born out of a deep love for animation.

I’ve long held a deep respect for artists who tell captivating stories through the medium of animation.

In our conversation, we brainstormed ideas for celebrating something special, which led us to develop a plan heavily influenced by anime. This plan also aimed to highlight Star Wars from an anime perspective, thereby showcasing the impact of Japanese culture on Star Wars as a whole.

In season 3, Star Wars enthusiasts will find not just one but two distinctive stories. One is a humorous and heartwarming friendship story titled “Yuko’s Treasure,” where a young girl befriends a large, bear-like droid, produced by the anime studio Kinema Citrus. The other, “The Song of Four Wings,” seems to delve into a grittier, more mechanically focused realm, focusing on the iconic X-Wings. This once again showcases the diverse range that Visions offers.
