Star Wars Zero Company Features Character Customization, Permadeath, and More

2026 marks the release of “Star Wars: Zero Company,” and during a Developer Panel, teams at Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor have revealed preliminary details about their first tactical strategy game. They verified that Hawks, the leader of the mercenary group, can be personalized – from physical appearance, voice, to species and name choice.

Not only that, but you also have the freedom to create your very own specialized team. Fancy a lethal lineup of Astromechs? By all means, do so, although be aware that such a choice may bring about certain repercussions. Your crew can be found in The Den, where they’ll socialize, you can recruit new operatives, and even upgrade the place itself.

As a devoted Star Wars enthusiast, I find myself constantly referring to my personal galaxy map, which outlines various missions that are up for grabs. The outcome of the Clone Wars significantly influences the strategy I must employ. Iconic planets from series such as Obi-Wan and The Bad Batch, among others, make an appearance on this dynamic map.

Initially, Zero Company might face obstacles, but as they forge connections, they can gain additional skills and potentially alter their destiny during combat. Additionally, the teams have established different levels of difficulty, and yes, you can engage in permanent death mode just like in the authentic XCOM style.

Star Wars Zero Company is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates.
