Starbucks Opens in Universal’s Epic Universe, Serving Employees Ahead of Grand Opening

At Universal’s Epic Universe, a significant achievement was marked as the opening of the initial dining location within the park precedes its planned public launch by several months. Although visitors can’t explore the much-anticipated theme park until May 22, 2025, staff members are already making use of the first operational facility available.

The Starbucks situated within Celestial Park is now welcoming South Campus staff, marking the beginning for Universal Orlando workers to sample what’s in store. Universal announced this exciting news with a joyful message.

A Glimpse at Celestial Park and Epic Universe

Starbucks can be found nestled within Celestial Park, the primary centerpiece of Epic Universe. Modeled after a lush, futuristic sanctuary, Celestial Park is the pulsating core of this new theme park, where visitors will first explore before embarking on their journey through the park’s four themed territories. Drawn from mythology, astronomy, and technological marvels, the region boasts beautiful gardens, water elements, and a verdant boulevard as described by Universal.

In Celestial Park, the focal point is the stunning Constellation Carousel, a complex ride boasting an exclusive soundtrack, space-themed ride cars, and breathtaking light shows. Surrounding this, other attractions include Astronomica, an interactive water feature inviting exploration, and Starfall Racers, our park’s iconic roller coaster reaching jaw-dropping speeds of 62 mph on a dual-racing track.

At Starbucks, you’ll find the initial establishment, but Celestial Park is planned to host a variety of eating and shopping spots in due course. Universal has already announced additional dining options, including Atlantic – a high-end seafood restaurant modeled after Victorian coastal restaurants by the seashore.

Upon its grand opening, Epic Universe is set to expand Universal Orlando Resort as its largest theme park, encompassing approximately 750 acres – nearly doubling the resort’s current area. This expansion will introduce four captivating realms, each accessible through themed gateways from Celestial Park.

  • Super Nintendo World – A land bringing beloved Nintendo characters and games to life, featuring attractions themed to Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, and more.
  • Dark Universe – A horror-inspired land featuring Universal’s classic monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolfman in an eerie gothic setting.
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic – A brand-new addition to Universal’s Harry Potter attractions, this land will take guests into the magical world of 1920s Paris, as seen in the Fantastic Beasts films, and the British Ministry of Magic.
  • How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk – A family-friendly land themed around DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon, featuring Viking villages, dragon encounters, and soaring attractions.

Before large-scale activities kick off in May 2025, the initial team members at Universal’s Epic Universe are already feeling the thrill. The launch of a Starbucks branch is simply the start; additional locations are gearing up for testing and preparation leading to the big opening in the upcoming months.

As construction approaches its final stages and employee training reaches its peak, Epic Universe is edging ever closer to being the most daring theme park that Universal Studios has ever constructed.
