StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection Are Coming to Game Pass

As a seasoned gamer with memories of countless late-night Zerg rushes and Protoss pylons, hearing that Blizzard is bringing StarCraft to Game Pass feels like finding a forgotten box of Protoss relics in my attic.

Blizzard Entertainment is persistently adding more games to the Game Pass library. Earlier this year, they introduced Diablo 4, and now they’ve announced plans to also include their popular science fiction strategy franchise, StarCraft, in the near future.

According to a recent announcement on Xbox Wire, Blizzard Entertainment plans to launch both versions of “StarCraft: Remastered” and “StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection” on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on November 5.

The multiplayer parts of real-time strategy games are free for everyone to play, but with this change, Game Pass subscribers on PC can access the single-player modes of these games at no extra cost. This includes all expansion campaigns of StarCraft 2, such as Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and Nova Covert Ops, in addition to the base game Wings of Liberty.

Indeed, we’re still eagerly awaiting a fresh installment in the StarCraft series, and it seems that wait may not be ending just yet. However, the fact that all the series’ stellar single-player content is now accessible through Game Pass can’t help but bring some positive vibes to our anticipation.
