Starfield: Shattered Space Releasing in September, Starborn in 2025 – Rumor

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must admit, the gaming landscape has never been more exciting than it is now. The latest revelations from Microsoft at Gamescom regarding Starfield: Shattered Space have me buzzing like a hyperactive bee on a sugar rush.

Microsoft has detailed their Xbox plans at Gamescom, one of which is a theater showcase for “Starfield: Shattered Space.” It’s possible there could be more significant announcements regarding Bethesda’s space RPG. A leaker named Odahfield hinted on Twitter that an announcement about its release date might occur on August 20th, coinciding with the same day as Gamescom Opening Night Live.

The upcoming expansion for the game is rumored to release in September. Moreover, there’s exciting news about a future venture in the game’s world called “Starborn,” which is tentatively scheduled for launch in 2025 or later. Details regarding Starborn are scant at present, but it could potentially serve as the next expansion for the game.

Prior to the release of “Shattered Space”, it’s said that a fresh update is planned for August, introducing the game’s inaugural planetary vehicle. Last week, Odahfield apparently shared a preview image, suggesting both enclosed and open-air versions may be available.

Though the leaker incorrectly touted a release date announcement for Shattered Space at June’s Xbox Games Showcase, they correctly reported on the Creation Club’s addition and details on future updates. For now, we’ll need to wait for more later this month.

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review here.
