As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, the anticipation I feel ahead of tomorrow’s State of Play is palpable. I’ve been through the gaming era where floppy disks ruled and graphics were more pixelated than a 90’s sitcom. Yet, here we are, on the brink of another exciting chapter in gaming history.
Tomorrow, September 24th, Sony is bringing back State of Play at 3 PM Pacific Time. This extended (over 30-minute) event will share announcements and updates on approximately 20 PS5 and PlayStation VR 2 games from various international studios. You can catch it live in English or Japanese on YouTube and Twitch.
It’s highly likely that we’ll witness additional titles related to Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2. Konami might disclose the launch date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater during their live Hotline show at Tokyo Game Show 2024. It wouldn’t be unexpected to find Kojima Productions presenting Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, another title with a scheduled event this week.
Additionally to these titles, there might be some remastered versions, particularly for Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone, that have been announced. Bend Studio could soon unveil the new intellectual property they’ve been developing for years. For PSVR2, it seems Metro Awakening from 4A Games is a strong contender. Keep an eye out for further updates in the meantime.
