On April 2nd, the free-to-play multiplayer game, Steel Hunters by Wargaming, will become available on Steam’s Early Access program.
Known for creating “World of Tanks” and “World of Warships”, among others, the developer announced its plans to develop “Steel Hunters” collaboratively with players. By launching in Early Access, they aim to refine and expand the game alongside us, ensuring that each shot fired and every Hunter released is carefully calibrated.
It appears that we won’t be stuck in the pre-release stage for an extended period. Instead, our aim is to transition swiftly to a complete launch after gathering your valuable input to refine the main features.
Upon its initial release, “Steel Hunters” will establish a solid, refined base with the essential gameplay elements, including maps, characters, and progression systems. During the early access phase, Wargaming intends to enhance the overall experience by incorporating user-friendly features, improving game mechanics, expanding the roster of Hunters and maps, as well as implementing monetization strategies.
In a future, post-apocalyptic world of Earth, the game Steel Hunters revolves around competing factions scavenging for Starfall using colossal robots. Each faction has its distinct playstyle and capabilities that players can tailor to their liking with various equipment, weapons, and upgrades.
Additionally, it showcases widespread damage, as Hunters utilize decaying structures for concealment while striving to outmaneuver their adversaries. Be mindful of AI foes as well. Keep an eye out for further information within the upcoming weeks.
