Steel Seed Delayed to April 22, Required PC Specs Revealed

Initially planned for an April 10 debut, game publisher ESDigital Games and developer Storm in a Teacup have disclosed that the release of “Steel Seed” will experience a minor postponement. In their official announcement, both parties shared that the anticipated title is now set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on April 22 instead.

The publishers and developers attribute the delay to encountering certain technical challenges during development. These difficulties seem to be associated with adapting the game for specific platforms, likely involving certification tests that need to be carried out before console release.

Ever since the game was first announced, your enthusiasm has been nothing short of inspiring, and we understand how eagerly you’ve been waiting for an immersive journey into a grim sci-fi universe, available on all platforms.” – Ilia Svanidze, Head of Marketing at ESDigital Games in a statement regarding the delay.

We’ve run into some technical issues during our platform testing that required adaptation, which is why we’re being transparent with you. To ensure a high-quality console user experience, we’ve decided it’s best to postpone the launch rather than releasing an initially substandard version that might need quick fixes.

Svanidze further shared that the additional time gained due to the delay will be utilized to refine every version of the game even more.

Svanidze stated that our aim is to provide an exceptional, smooth gaming experience for every player, regardless of their platform. We are dedicated to offering the best possible gameplay, and this extra time will enable us to fine-tune and perfect all versions before launching, so they live up to the high standard we believe you expect.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve noticed that Steel Seed is experiencing a slight delay, as reported by WCCFTech. Yet, this update has also brought some exciting news! The game’s listing on Steam has unveiled the PC specifications needed to play it. To my relief, these requirements appear quite modest, considering the anticipation surrounding the game.

The least CPU needed to run Steel Seed is either an Intel i7-3770K at 3.5 GHz or a comparable AMD processor, along with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, an Intel Arc 580, or an equivalent GPU from AMD. For optimal performance, the recommended CPU specs increase to an Intel Core i7 6700K at 4.0 GHz (or its AMD counterpart), and a more powerful GPU such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, an Intel Arc 770, or an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the game “Steel Seed” is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, and it necessitates at least 16 GB of RAM and approximately 50 GB of hard drive space for installation.

As we approach its launch this month, the new game Steel Seed has unveiled a trailer showcasing its initial gameplay moments. In this trailer, we see protagonist Zoe and her robot ally KOBY navigating, sneaking, and battling their way through an deteriorating industrial facility to understand the circumstances surrounding them.

The title had been revealed as far back as June 2023, during that year’s Future Games Show, accompanied by a trailer.
