As a devoted fan of the Duggar family, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and admiration for Jana Duggar and her husband Stephen Wissmann. Their journey together, from their initial meeting at a tender age to their recent wedding and now their HGTV-inspired home makeover, is nothing short of captivating.
Jana Duggar along with her newlywed spouse, Stephen Wissmann, are planning a home renovation inspired by popular home improvement shows like HGTV.
After getting married on August 15th, surrounded by over 500 friends and family in Arkansas, the newly-married couple have been diligently working on their nicknamed “fixer upper” house in Nebraska.
Jana, aged 34, gave her followers a peek behind the scenes of her ongoing project on her August 29 YouTube video. She showcased both the pre-wedding and post-renovation state of the couple’s house, highlighting that before their wedding, they had separate bedrooms, and after their nuptials, they planned to transform the main suite.
Previously, Jana had shared her compact living quarters on YouTube. Later, she remarked, “This house is quite spacious. In fact, it boasts a total of five bedrooms.”
But those five bedrooms went down to four thanks to the DIY pair’s hard work.
Jana clarified, “We’re going to merge bedrooms one and two into a single space. Our intention is to transform it into a luxurious master suite.”
In town for assistance, the star of “Counting On” received aid not only from her father Jim Bob Duggar, but also multiple sisters. They lent a hand in the demolition process and offered support during the renovation phase.
“Jana was astonished at how swiftly such a project could progress, given the numerous volunteers dedicating their time. We’re incredibly grateful for these additional hands helping us.”
Apart from merging the two rooms, the couple have plans to install a private bathroom, custom-made storage cabinets, and replace some shiny flooring with a more neutral color scheme.
As the TLC star noted, “I cannot wait to see this project come together in real life.”
Among the Duggar family’s nine daughters, Jana has been acquainted with her future spouse for quite some time. Their first encounter took place when she was only thirteen years old.
Previously, the two had a brief romance that extended over some years. However, Jana mentioned to People magazine that their communication was sporadic; they would chat here and there.
Reflecting on my reconciliation with Stephen, I found myself pondering, ‘Why did we ever part ways? Our bond remains strong, and our admiration for each other is undiminished.’ In retrospect, I may have been hesitant initially, but his unwavering character and persistent affection towards me eventually won me over.
