Steph Curry is taking a timeout from the NBA playoffs.
It’s reported by various sources that the star point guard of the Golden State Warriors will be unable to play in at least Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinals series against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring, which he suffered on May 6th.
The Warriors also confirmed that Steph sustained the hamstring injury during game one.
This morning, it was announced by the team that Stephen Curry, who left last night’s game versus the Timberwolves with 8 minutes and 19 seconds left in the second quarter due to a strained left hamstring, had an MRI. The results revealed a Grade 1 strain in his hamstring. They mentioned that Curry will be reassessed in a week.
After our victory against the Timberwolves in game one, I, as an ardent follower of the team, took note of Coach Steve Kerr’s insights regarding Stephen Curry’s health, given his noticeable limp during the game.
In the post-game press conference on May 6th (as reported by ESPN), Kerr stated that they are still unsure about his condition, but given the nature of a hamstring injury, it seems unlikely that he will be able to play on Thursday.
The coach went on to say, “He’s clearly devastated, yet his teammates rallied and delivered an outstanding performance. We’re all worried about Steph, but that’s just a part of sports.
Although it’s uncertain when the 37-year-old, who has children Riley (12), Ryan (9), Canon (6), and Caius (11 months) with his wife Ayesha Curry, will be back to the series, his teammate Jimmy Butler III expressed some encouraging sentiments towards Steph.
During the press conference, the leader expressed, “We certainly wish to have No. 30 back with us, there’s no doubt about that. However, what we truly desire is for him to perform at his peak for himself and our team. For now, we are determined to hold things together. I am confident that we can.
Draymond Green, another forward on the team, expressed similar conviction, and commended Butler’s leadership skills as well.
Green made it clear to reporters, “We are well aware of Jimmy’s abilities. He has shown time and again that he can lead a team. In fact, he took a team to the Finals on two occasions. Therefore, we won’t lose our cool. We will assess the situation and understand what this implies.
The Warriors will face off against the Timberwolves on May 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

If you don a coordinated pajama set and celebrate holidays in a special manner, it’s hard to imagine that Santa wouldn’t drop by your home with some gifts for you. Great job, Currys!
Regardless of whether it’s about intricate dinner dates or escaping for intimate retreats, they consistently prioritize spending time together. Not to mention, they are adept at organizing grand events. Don’t you recall the time when Stephen Curry arranged a surprise birthday celebration for Ayesha Curry on her 30th?
It’s tough not to remember the post-match news conferences when Riley Curry graced the stage. With her expressive faces, humorous replies, and clear affection for her father, audiences were captivated by her presence.
Beyond juggling our bustling family and careers, my partner Stephen and I prioritize giving back to our community. Lately, we’ve embarked on an exciting journey by establishing our new foundation, Eat. Learn. Play., which aims to make a difference.
Instead of being ordinary parents, Ayesha and Stephen are quite “cool” parents! Fortunate for their kids, they managed to secure tickets for the exclusive premiere of The Lion King at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
In August 2018, Stephen authored an essay advocating for gender equality in a relatable manner. He expressed, “I wish for our daughters to mature understanding that there are no limitations on their potential, full stop,” which he penned for The Player’s Tribune. “I aspire for them to reside in a society where their gender doesn’t dictate how they should think, or who they should become, or what they should pursue. Furthermore, I wish for them to develop with the conviction that they can aim high and pursue careers where they are treated justly. And most importantly: compensated equally.
Regardless of whether it’s cheering from the bleachers or expressing her enthusiasm online, Ayesha consistently shows her support for her husband and his team. As she once expressed on TopMob News’ Daily Pop, “I can’t help but be so passionate about it.” She simply identifies as a fan.
Following the thrilling victory at the 2015 NBA Finals, my heart was filled with warmth as my family – my beautiful wife Ayesha and our vibrant daughter Riley – showered me with their affection. Trophies might be impressive, but a bond like ours is truly extraordinary.
Ayesha’s book celebration, The Seasoned Life, wasn’t just about the basketball court. Even Stephen made it a point to join multiple book signings, including one held at Williams-Sonoma.
Regardless if you’re a sports enthusiast or not, it’s likely that you find a Golden State Warriors game more entertaining when Stephen’s children are present in the crowd.
