In the unfolding Disney Plus Star Wars series titled Skeleton Crew, one of the major enigmas revolves around the character of the Supervisor, a figure who governs the planet At Attin and is often referenced but yet to make an appearance – that is, until recently.
In the just-recently broadcast seventh episode, I was thrilled to discover that the enigmatic character’s voice belonged to none other than the exceptionally recognizable Stephen Fry.
In the most recent release, while Fry himself isn’t physically present, his distinctive voice resonates as he makes an announcement within the episode. It’s later confirmed in the closing credits that yes, it was none other than the previous QI host who assumed the character.
His short emergence was made known through a public broadcast when Onyx Cinder neared the planet, but he was somewhat deceptive regarding the specifics of the situation, assuring the populace that all non-vital activities would momentarily cease due to this event.
In the town of At Attin, it’s the Supervisor who speaks: “Listen up, folks! An Envoys will be coming with a delivery. We need to halt all optional tasks until they unload their shipment. Thanks for your cooperation, that’s all.
On this particular instance, he’s only spoken once, but considering his input has finally been acknowledged, it seems likely that we’ll witness more of the Supervisor in the upcoming finale next week. This is particularly true since it appears that Jod is now poised for a direct encounter with him.
Various fan speculations propose that Fry might additionally be portraying Tak Rennod, the renowned pirate known for discovering At Attin in the past, yet mysteriously failed to come back.
Previously, Jod stumbled upon a hologram sent by Tak, yet his identity was purposefully hidden, sparking theories among fans that Tak and the Supervisor might be the same person.
