Stephen Graham is threatening in thrilling trailer for Peaky Blinders creator’s new drama

The extended preview for A Thousand Blows, a new show by the creator of Peaky Blinders and SAS Rogue Heroes, Steven Knight, has been revealed.

In the trailer, Malachi Kirby’s character Hezekiah Moscow, along with his friend Alec Munroe (played by Francis Lovehall), makes an appearance in 1880s London from Jamaica. Here, they encounter Erin Doherty’s character Mary Carr, who leads the all-female gang known as the Forty Elephants.

Mary starts utilizing Hezekiah’s knack for boxing within the secret underworld fight circuit, but ominous figure Stephen Graham‘s Sugar Goodson threatens to eliminate him from this realm. (This version maintains the original meaning while using simpler language and a more conversational tone.)

In 2023, Knight recounted about Graham: “Graham approached me and asked, ‘Could you pen down an hour for this?’ To which I agreed. Now, it has been selected and is currently under production.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, the movie titled “A Thousand Blows” is set to premiere on Disney Plus starting 21st February. That means fans will have to be patient for approximately one more month before they can enjoy it.

Previously, Graham and Knight have collaborated on numerous ventures, among them being the production ‘Peaky Blinders’, for which a film adaptation is imminent, featuring Graham returning to his character, Hayden Stagg.

The movie will also feature actors like Cillian Murphy returning as Tommy, alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth.

At the beginning of filming, Knight expressed his excitement saying, “It’s fantastic to have the cameras capturing this next phase of the Peaky Blinders saga, which unfolds during World War II. Since the nation is at war, it makes sense that our Peaky Blinders are embroiled in conflict as well.
