View Urgent ForecastIn a remarkable display, Storm is shown exerting herself more intensely than ever before, which is quite significant given her immense power. Known as the Eternal Storm, she possesses almost infinite might, yet even she has her boundaries. Issue #7 of Storm highlights her at her most desperate state, but matters quickly escalate for her, culminating in a confrontation with the most potent storm deity in the Marvel Universe – Thor, the ruler of Asgard and the God of Thunder.
Storm Gets Blitzed By a Brace of Storm Gods
For years, everyone has referred to Storm as a goddess, but it was only recently revealed that she was still mortal. Although people worshipped her for her power, she had never been a deity in the traditional sense. However, Storm belongs to one of the oldest bloodlines, tracing back to Agamotto, suggesting an inherent divine presence. Over time, Storm has interacted with gods and mythical beings like Dracula and Shadow King, who sought to control her magic. This was before she received the power of Eternity. Storm also shares a unique bond with the Norse pantheon. Loki attempted to manipulate Storm against their brother, eventually giving her an Asgardian hammer known as Stormbreaker. In time, Storm became friends with Thor, and the God of Thunder called upon her to aid him in fighting Utgard Thor Toranos. It’s this divine connection that makes it so astonishing when Storm finds herself in a godly brawl.
In this rephrased version:
The narrative doesn’t delve deeply into why Brazil experienced the unusual weather phenomenon initially. Instead, it kicks off with Iron Man enlisting Storm in a flashback, as she engages in a fierce struggle against an anaconda that had ingested a large amount of supersoldier serum, assisted by the mutant Maggott. In the course of the battle, a formidable bolt of lightning obliterates the serpent-beast, but it wasn’t Storm who wielded this thunderous strike; rather, it was one of the assemblage of storm deities – Mamaragan, Sango, Susanoo, and Chaac. As Storm endeavors to evade their attacks, she fails repeatedly while attempting to restrain her powers due to a magical prohibition against them and the unpredictable nature of her Eternity abilities. Previously, these gods had been seen separately in the Marvel Universe, but this is the first time they’ve appeared together on the pages of a comic. Eventually, Storm manages to escape following an exhilarating series of events masterfully depicted by Luciano Vecchio, leaving her poised to don her armor and resolve the anomaly. However, Thor intervenes and instructs her to halt before she can proceed.
Storm Vs. Thor?
In the picture, it appears that Storm and Thor, who are usually great friends, seem to be at odds. It’s puzzling because we’re reading this story backwards, but lately, Storm has been elevated in the cosmic hierarchy, gaining immense power and joining the ranks of the universe’s most powerful beings. This could explain the extraordinary weather anomaly in Brazil, which was believed to have been caused by the gods. However, Thor’s sudden appearance at the end is quite unexpected.
In a straightforward manner, Storm joined the Avengers team upon Thor’s recommendation. He was seeking a powerful member to fill his role, and Storm fit the bill perfectly. Although Storm has grown even stronger since then, it seems plausible that Thor might have approached her first when sharing any discontent from the gods regarding her actions. This exhilarating installment of “Storm” concludes with an ending that will undoubtedly leave readers eagerly anticipating the next issue.
