Stranger Things 5 Reveals First Footage of Final Season in New Featurette

As a dedicated fan of Stranger Things since its inception, I cannot contain my excitement as Netflix unveiled the first look into the making of the final season. Three long years have passed since the fourth installment graced our screens, and the anticipation has been palpable. The fact that we’re now halfway through production is a testament to the intricacy and grandiosity of the storyline that the Duffer Brothers have in store for us.

As an avid fan of “Stranger Things,” I’m thrilled to share that Netflix has given us a sneak peek into the production of the fifth and final season! With filming now halfway through, set to resume in 2025, the streaming platform shared a first look at what’s to come. Excitingly, once this season concludes, the “Stranger Things” universe will continue growing through live-action and animated spin-offs. The Hawkins world has already expanded with a stage play. It’s been a three-year journey since the fourth season wrapped up in May 2022, and I can hardly wait to see how it all unfolds!

As a long-time fan of the show, I can’t help but get excited when Netflix shares behind-the-scenes glimpses into the production of the final season. Having followed the series since its inception, it feels surreal to think that we’ve reached the halfway mark of filming. The anticipation is palpable, and I can hardly wait to see what the team has been working on. Check out the teaser below for a sneak peek into the world of our favorite characters!

The final season of this show is like an enhanced version of the first, as the creators, the Duffers, described to The Guardian. It’s bigger than ever in size, but it’s been enjoyable having everyone back in Hawkins – the boys and Eleven – interacting more like they did in the beginning. And while there might be spin-offs, the tales of Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, and Hopper reach their conclusion in this season.

The Duffer brothers once expressed their long-held desire for an animated version of “Stranger Things,” reminiscent of our cherished Saturday morning cartoons from childhood. Witnessing this dream come true has been an exhilarating experience for us. We’re utterly amazed by Eric Robles and his team’s creations – the scripts and artwork are remarkable, and we can hardly wait to reveal more to you! The journey continues…

Based on Maya Hawke’s recent statement, the production of the last season for which she stars as Robin, is an extensive undertaking taking a full year to complete. Essentially, they are creating the equivalent of eight movies, with each episode being significantly lengthy.

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “Season 4 and Season 5 are more interconnected than you might think. Normally, each season drops in its entirety, but due to some production quirks, Season 4 was split into Part I and Part II. The last two episodes of Part II came out later than the rest, which felt a bit unusual while streaming. Still, they’re part of the same season. It serves as both a continuation and a conclusion to the storylines started in Season 4. It’s been quite some time since we last got new content.”

The new installment of “Stranger Things,” which is its fifth season, is scheduled for release on Netflix in the year 2024. Currently, you can watch the first four seasons on the platform.
