As a passionate movie-goer, I’ve got to share my excitement about a captivating theatrical production that’s currently gracing London’s Phoenix Theatre. This play has been garnering rave reviews from critics, with our team awarding it a well-deserved four stars. Not only that, but in 2024, it scooped up two prestigious Laurence Olivier Awards – one for Best Set Design and another for the Best Entertainment or Comedy Play. Truly, this is a must-see!

In the West End production, Stephen Daldry took charge as director, whereas the script was crafted by Kate Trefry, who collaborated on the story with Jack Thorne and the duo behind Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, in writing it.

Ross Duffer expressed astonishment when he initially watched the series, while his brother Matt noted that they exceeded all expectations and it was among the most exhilarating moments in their lives. (Alternatively, Ross was amazed by the show for the first time, but Matt emphasized that they surpassed every anticipation and it ranked as one of the most exciting experiences they’ve had.)

In simple terms, Daldry stated that the goal of the show was to offer an intense, sensory experience to the viewers, making them feel a mix of shock, awe, amazement, and joy.
