As a longtime fan who has grown up with the Stranger Things gang since their debut, I can confidently say that the anticipation for the final season is almost palpable. Having followed this show since its inception, it’s like revisiting an old friend who has been on quite the journey.

Production is underway for the fifth and concluding season of Stranger Things, bringing back several beloved cast members along with those contributing off-screen. Shawn Levy, who has been an executive producer since the first season and directed eight episodes, will once again be at the helm for this final chapter. Last year, Levy confirmed his return as a director for the show’s last season, expressing gratitude for his time on Stranger Things as a “gift.” Yesterday, director Shawn Levy shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes snapshot featuring Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) and Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley).

In Hawkins once more, climbing that hill yet again? – That was Levy’s caption for the post. Take a look at the picture featuring Wolfhard and Hawke below:

How Will Stranger Things End?

The makers of the hit series Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, had earlier shared that their proposal for the fifth season would be emotionally impactful and potentially tear-inducing.

“Ross Duffer previously mentioned to The Wrap that we concentrate on one season at a time in our process. We’ve got a plan for season 5 and pitched it to Netflix, who were quite receptive. It was challenging because we’re reaching the end of the story. In fact, some executives, whom I’ve never seen emotional before, even shed tears. It’s not just about the story, but the realization that this series, which has greatly impacted our lives and been with us since the beginning, is nearing its conclusion.”

Matt Duffer commented that the last season of the show follows a similar structure as the initial one, but he likened it to Season 1 on steroids. In other words, expect an amplified version of the storyline and intensity from the first season.

According to Duffer, the upcoming season is reminiscent of season one on a grander scale. He spoke about this to The Guardian. The size is greater than ever before, but it’s been delightful because all the original characters are reunited in Hawkins – including the boys and Eleven – interacting more frequently, much like they did in the first season.

The hit series, “Stranger Things,” is slated to come back for its fifth and last season the following year. Keep an eye out for additional news on future programs.
