In the bustling city of Tokyo, Japan, on May 25, at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, he bid adieu to his iconic shaggy raven mane and unveiled a sleek buzzcut instead. A momentous occasion for fans like me!

To enhance his look, the 22-year-old opted for a clean-shaven appearance while sporting a sharp black-and-white suit jacket and pants. He was accompanied on the red carpet by his costar, Gaten Matarazzo, prior to their joint presentation of the award for Best Continuing Series. The honor was bestowed upon “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc” during the ceremony.

As you know, when you return home, you often slip back into your childhood roles, almost like an old version of yourself. With this group, I will forever be their 12-year-old friend.

Following our wrap-up, Caleb, Gaten, and Noah and I went on a trip a month or so later, which greatly eased the transition for me. You understand that feeling when you go back home and revert to your childhood role? It’s like a preserved version of yourself. Among them, I will always be their 12-year-old buddy.
