Stranger Things star wants Dustin spin-off: ‘I’d love to see him at 30’

As a long-time Stranger Things enthusiast with years of binge-watching under my belt, I must admit that the thought of the show reaching its conclusion feels bittersweet. The characters have become like old friends, and their journey through the Upside Down has been an unforgettable rollercoaster ride.

Anticipation for season 5 of Stranger Things is high among viewers, but there’s also a hint of melancholy since this will mark the series’ conclusion.

Fortunately, much discussion revolves around possible sequels once it concludes, and Dustin’s actor, Gaten Matarazzo, has expressed an inclination towards reprising his role.

He indicated that it will serve as a concluding piece, and he feels it will tie up neatly. Moreover, he expressed doubt that Matt Ross would want to tackle something similar in the near future. If asked a year from now if he’d return, he might say he wants to try something new first, but the future is uncertain.

I’m really curious about the possibility of seeing Dustin in future seasons beyond season 5, if we get there. It’d be fascinating to explore what his life might look like when he’s thirty. I’d relish the opportunity to delve into that storyline; it could be quite entertaining.

He added: “I’d like to know their idea, and indeed, I’m completely receptive to any suggestions.

From a movie enthusiast’s perspective, if a project is captivating, thrilling, and generating buzz among peers, count me in! However, my initial inclination is to explore new ventures. For the upcoming years, at least, I envision diversifying my creative endeavors.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming series features Jovan Armand as the voice of Sig Greebling, an unassuming nerf-herder who stumbles upon a potent artifact hidden within a clandestine Jedi temple. This discovery propels him on an exhilarating journey through a corrupted galaxy, where righteousness is twisted and evil reigns supreme.

Matarazzo described the series as follows: “This project is essentially a wild fan-made tribute to Star Wars, aiming to provide maximum enjoyment. That’s precisely what it felt like making it, and that’s the experience you get while watching.

Check out the full interview with Gaten Matarazzo, published starting from this Friday, 13th September.
