In the year 2024, during the finale of Strictly Come Dancing, Craig Revel Horwood reached a significant milestone when he gave out his one hundredth perfect score of ten for the first time in his judging career.
To start off the night, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley performed a reenactment of their Viennese Waltz from Mary Poppins, titled “Let’s Go Fly a Kite”, which had earlier won them 39 points in the Musicals Week, as selected by the judges.
However, their performance earned them a flawless score of 40/40 tonight, causing co-host Claudia Winkleman to momentarily halt the show to make a notable announcement.
She expressed, “I’ll require a peaceful environment now, which might seem odd, but it’s been a long time coming. In a moment, I’d like Craig to join me. Craig, could you please make your way up here?
She asked Craig, “After 20 long years and 22 exciting series, can you guess what’s just transpired?” To this, Craig replied, “I have absolutely no clue.
Claudia then revealed: “You’ve just given your 100th ten!”
The perfect score from the judges was reflected in their feedback, with Anton saying of the routine: “It was amazing, I loved it. Better than before. Everything I wanted, everything you wanted. I’d like to see that three times, please.”
Craig stated, “I wasn’t pleased, as I couldn’t detect any flaws. The performance was graceful, sophisticated, and high-quality.” Later on, Motsi remarked, “You’ve taken whatever you’ve done before to a new level, your footwork was stunning, you moved so effortlessly, it felt like you were gliding. That’s the perfect start for a final on Strictly Come Dancing.
Judge Shirley Ballas commended the ex-JLS star warmly, saying, “Your performance made me discard my analytical approach. Bravo!
