Strictly Come Dancing fans react as Chris McCausland calls out Craig Revel Horwood

As a seasoned viewer of Strictly Come Dancing, hailing from the city of Liverpool myself, I found Chris McCausland’s performance and his exchange with Craig Revel Horwood particularly delightful. The comedian’s tribute to You’ll Never Walk Alone was heartfelt, and it resonated deeply with me as a fellow Scouser.

Viewers of Strictly Come Dancing found themselves astonished, their jaws dropping, when Chris McCausland playfully took aim at judge Craig Revel Horwood during his critique.

The comic artistically honored his hometown, Liverpool, by dancing a waltz to the song “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Gerry and the Pacemakers during his act.

The panel, including Craig himself, largely commended the performance for its quality, yet even the usually critical judge offered some valuable suggestions on how the dance could be further improved.

“Your left elbow is way too low,” he began.

He went on to say that there was no rhythm or flow to it, and then, unexpectedly, McCausland chimed in, commenting critically on Craig’s recent fashion preferences.

The comic commented: “By the way, Craig, let me add this – the beard isn’t really fitting for you, something I even noticed myself. It’s just a friendly suggestion, sweetheart.

The studio erupted into laughter, with Craig taking the comment in good humour, firing back: “You should touch it, it’s very soft.”

Once he concluded his critique, Craig expressed appreciation for the performance, stating that “there was a vast expanse of graceful undulation” and the dance moved “smoothly and elegantly”. In conclusion, he deemed it to be “exceptional” or “outstanding”.

As a devoted fan of Strictly Come Dancing, I jumped on my go-to social platform (previously known as Twitter) to join the chorus of excitement over the hilarious, unforeseen joke that had everyone talking!

After Craig finished speaking, Motsi Mabuse started offering her feedback by expressing, “I truly sensed your feelings” and adding that “this is a skill not everyone possesses.

She emphasized: ‘To me, this goes beyond just technique as it’s something lasting that we’ll continue to cherish and remember long after.’

Your beard isn’t really flattering, and I’m not the only one who thinks so.” LMAO, Chris, you always seem to understand my thoughts about Craig! #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing

As a passionate cinephile, I couldn’t help but express my admiration for Tommy, the talented vocalist from the Strictly Come Dancing house band, originally hailing from my hometown, Liverpool. Performing “We Will Never Walk Alone” was an exceptional experience that resonated deeply within me.

Craig, your beard seems a bit out of place for you, and it’s something I’ve noticed too! 😊 #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly

Previously on Strictly Come Dancing, the main judge, Shirley Ballas, praised McCausland’s dance, sharing a special bond as they both originate from similar regions.

Offstage, McCausland confided in Claudia Winkleman, “For the past week, I’ve been deeply moved. The events of last Saturday left me quite overpowered, and the audience’s response added to that. Plus, listening to the song throughout the week… it’s been an intensely emotional experience for me.

Currently, as I type this, the comedian is ranked second on the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard. His top score so far stands at 35 out of 40, with eight points coming from Craig.
