As a longtime Strictly Come Dancing enthusiast, I must say that this turn of events has left me rather disappointed, but not entirely surprised given the nature of the dance world. Injuries are an unfortunate part of any athletic endeavor, and it’s always sad to see talented dancers like Carlos Gu sidelined due to them.
It has been announced that Carlos Gu is unable to participate in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special because of an injury, and as a result, will not be dancing with Vogue Williams.
After an exhilarating night of dance on Strictly, I’ve got some exciting news to share! It appears our beloved dancer, Gorka Márquez, will be swapping the dance floor for a front-row seat this season as he passes the glitterball trophy to Vogue. Can’t wait to see them strut their stuff!
Sadly, due to an ankle injury, professional dancer Carlos Gu won’t be able to dance with contestant Vogue Williams during the Strictly Come Dancing holiday special.
Dancer colleague Gorka Márquez is set to take his place and dance with Vogue instead, as he recovers quickly.
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing saw Gorka partnered with Punam Krishan, but unfortunately, they were eliminated from the contest after Halloween Week.
This year, Carlos wasn’t accompanied by a famous partner, but he’s still managed to keep everyone amused from the Clauditorium instead.
This holiday season’s special will see Vogue join an impressive lineup that includes Josh Widdicombe, Tayce, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Billy Monger as contestants. Vogue is one of the three celebrities announced for this year’s event.
