As a seasoned moviegoer who’s seen more dance sequences than a Bollywood choreographer, I must say, this season of Strictly Come Dancing has been nothing short of a breathtaking spectacle! The dances have been so extraordinary that even Motsi Mabuse, the esteemed judge, yearns for a higher scoring system. Her desire for a ‘rainbow buzzer’ to celebrate such exceptional performances is not only charming but also speaks volumes about the caliber of dance we’ve witnessed this season.
It’s clear as day that the dances on this season of Strictly Come Dancing have been nothing short of extraordinary.
Indeed, it seems that judge Motsi Mabuse shares this viewpoint, expressing her desire for a format adjustment particularly for the most extraordinary dances, as she advocated during last night’s semi-final (December 6th).
After the second dance, a Waltz by Tasha Ghouri and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec that earned 10s across the board, Mabuse exclaimed: “Wow, I’d love to give it a score even higher than a perfect 10.
She wished aloud she could have “a buzzer or something, where there’s no higher mark than 10, there’s nothing else to give, then you go ‘Boom’ and it rains rainbows”.
In the subsequent part of their performance, JB Gill (from the JLS band) and his dance partner, Lauren Oakley, showcased a lively Salsa routine to the track “Red Alert” by Basement Jaxx.
With a flawless score of 40, Mabuse remarked about the buzzer, saying, “That was among the finest Cuban dance moves I’ve ever witnessed.
Could it be possible that the upcoming season of Strictly will feature a golden button similar to the one on Britain’s Got Talent? We’ll find out soon enough.
In this season of Strictly Come Dancing, only five pairs are left: Tasha Ghouri with Aljaž Škorjanec, Sarah Hadland paired with Vito Coppola, JB Gill dancing with Lauren Oakley, Chris McCausland together with Dianne Buswell, and Pete Wicks partnered with Jowita Przystał. Unfortunately, one of these pairs will be leaving the competition during tomorrow’s results show before the finale next week.
A week ago, Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe were eliminated from the competition. They faced off against Tasha and Aljaž during the dance-off.
