Strictly fans praise Craig and Anton’s Halloween costumes: “Greatest thing to ever happen in Strictly”

As a lifelong fan of Strictly Come Dancing, I must say this year’s Halloween special has been nothing short of spectacular! The judges’ costumes, particularly Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke as the Grady twins from The Shining, have truly stolen the show. I can’t help but reminisce about my own school days, where twinning wasn’t cool but now it’s downright chilling!

It’s the week that many Strictly Come Dancing fans anticipate the most – Halloween.

In the midst of lively dancing and captivating music, everyone, including the judges and competitors, embraces the Halloween spirit by donning striking costumes that truly catch our eye.

It wasn’t entirely foreseen, however, that the Halloween costumes worn by judges Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke would turn out to be such memorable icons.

Enthusiasts swiftly flooded social media with compliments for the duo’s coordinated attire, which resembled the chilling Grady twins from the 1980 horror movie classic, The Shining.

The participants’ grand entry at the start of the episode undoubtedly established a high standard for costume attire, adorned with complementing bob hairstyles, blue nightgowns, and lacey socks.

On the day of our school’s picture-taking event, my sisters made a grand entrance, reminiscent of a dance competition like “Strictly Come Dancing.

As a devoted cinephile, I find the chilling twin sisters from Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece to be the embodiment of my worst cinematic fears. Clad in identical attire and bearing unnervingly expressionless faces, they leave an indelible mark on any film enthusiast who witnesses their haunting presence.

Indeed, Horwood and Du Beke gracefully paid tribute in various ways; it wasn’t just about their attire, but also their rhythmic hand claps, facial expressions, and overall demeanor, which were spot-on all through the evening.

As a die-hard “Strictly Come Dancing” enthusiast, I can’t help but express my admiration for the stunning costumes worn by Craig and Anton in this season. Their ensembles could very well be the most fabulous thing to grace the show, or perhaps even the best Halloween costumes it has ever seen!

Without a doubt, Horwood and Du Beke’s grand entrance at Strictly Come Dancing is likely to be remembered for a long time, as one X user put it: “There won’t be a more impressive debut.

It appears that Craig and Anton’s resemblance to the original twins from “The Shining” is proving quite spooky for Halloween, with one user commenting: “I can’t handle Craig and Anton in twin costumes from ‘The Shining.’ Too eerie.

Apart from the eye-catching outfits, viewers will need to keep tuning in through the weekend to find out if the competitors have managed to win the audience’s favor.

This week, the amateur dancers stepped onto the dance floor, aiming to advance a bit more towards the Glitterball Trophy. Notably, it was Paul Merson who departed Strictly Come Dancing last Sunday evening.

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One.
