As a longtime enthusiast of Strictly Come Dancing, I must admit that this year’s edition has been particularly enchanting. The return of JB Gill and Amy Dowden was a momentous occasion for me, given my personal battle with breast cancer and the profound impact their story has had on me. Their moving performance last week, beautifully choreographed to Leo Sayer’s When I Need You, was nothing short of inspiring.

View Urgent Forecast2024’s season of Strictly Come Dancing resumed on our TVs this Saturday, 28th September, and the contest undeniably got underway with an explosion of energy as Tom Dean and Nadiya made their dance debut on the floor.
However, instead of focusing on the show’s content, viewers of Strictly quickly shifted their attention towards the outfits sported by co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, leading many to post comments on social media, likening them to the characters Glinda and Elphaba from the musical, Wicked.
For tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing, Tess and Claudia are embracing the spirit of Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked, as one viewer shared.

Previously, JB Gill and Amy Dowden, who have been eagerly awaited since the professional dancer stepped away from the show last year to receive breast cancer treatment, scored a remarkable 31 points and led the rankings.
In a stirring display, Dowden and the vocalist from JLS executed an emotional dance routine synchronized with the ballad “When I Need You” by Leo Sayer, leaving the studio audience in awe and giving them a well-deserved standing ovation.
The threesome was given eights by Motsi, Shirley, and Anton Du Beke, with a seven from Craig. This moved them into first place on the scoreboard.
Sarah Hadland, along with Vito and Tasha Ghouri, as well as Alijaz, trailed closely behind, all scoring 30 points each in the competition.
At the end of the initial week of the contest, Toyah Wilcox and Neil Jones found themselves toward the bottom of the scoreboard.
The pair danced a tango on Saturday’s show, but it’s fair to say it fell flat on the judging panel.
