Strictly’s Chris McCausland leaves show in hysterics with dig at Craig

As a cinephile with over three decades of experience, I must admit that Craig Revel Horwood’s critical demeanor during this year’s Strictly Come Dancing has been quite intriguing. In my humble opinion, his stern approach and low scores are reminiscent of the rigorous dance instructors in classic Hollywood musicals like “Singin’ in the Rain” or “Easter Parade.

On the night of the 28th of September, the judge on Strictly Come Dancing, Craig Revel Horwood, seemed rather critical as the celebrities danced in the ballroom for their second performance.

Just three dances in, Craig had given a 2, 3, and a 4, which were quite low, even for him.

Furthermore, he’d been delivering some fairly tough critiques and it hadn’t gone unnoticed.

One person took to X and wrote: “Craig is on one this year.”

Another said: “Very impressed with Tom and Nadiya. He’s so good and has some natural movement. The 3 from Craig was so unnecessary!”

One of the Strictly Come Dancing line-up spotted he was being quite mean, too: Chris McCausland.

Before his Foxtrot, Claudia Winkleman faced him for a chat, which provided the comedian an opportunity to deliver a witty, hilarious remark aimed at Craig.

At the age of 22, when Chris lost his sight completely, he commented: “Considering the current situation, I believe Craig might be more blind than I am.

It’s fair to assume that the studio erupted in laughter after the witty remark, causing Claudia to pause briefly in her presentation.

Later, following a comedic skit, Chris seized an opportunity to challenge Craig again with his dance performance.

Tess made a knock-knock joke before asking Chris some scoring.

In a friendly manner, the comedian proposed a score of 7 to one individual, then turned to another person named Craig, saying, “But for you, buddy, I’ll only give a 2. Your skills seem lacking and your posture could use some improvement.

Craig bellowed with laughter, as did the rest of the studio.

Later in the event, Chris showcased a stunning Foxtrot dance that captivated everyone, resulting in a commendable score of 29 points being awarded to him.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday 21st September at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
