As a fan who has followed Nick Knowles‘ journey from DIY SOS to Strictly Come Dancing, I have to say that his resilience and determination never cease to amaze me. From building houses for those in need to learning the art of ballroom dancing at the ripe age of 59, Nick has always shown an unwavering spirit and a knack for overcoming obstacles.
According to Nick Knowles himself, he’s getting scanned to find out if he can dance in this week’s Strictly Come Dancing live performance, as he picked up an injury off-set from the show.
In a video shared on his Instagram, the host of DIY SOS announced some news while sitting in a car’s passenger seat, visibly wearing a sling around his upper arm.
In the video, he mentioned an update: “You can notice that my arm is supported by a sling. This is due to an incident over the weekend when my vehicle malfunctioned on the highway. Since I had my child in the car with me, I hurried to change the tire promptly to ensure our safety.
While trying to remove the large wheel from my vehicle expeditiously due to its size, I ended up injuring my shoulder and arm slightly in the process.
Despite being somewhat uncertain about the details, I’ve been experiencing quite a bit of discomfort, although it seems a tad better this morning. Consequently, I’m off to London, specifically Harley Street, for a scan and to consult with some highly skilled medical professionals. However, I have a training session scheduled afterwards to master the steps of my upcoming dance routine.

Later today, it was disclosed by Knowles that he would appear on It Takes Two. At that time, he expressed his hope to provide further details and keep everyone informed.
He mentioned that he would continue to update fans throughout the day regardless, and then finished by saying: “It’s not perfect, but I’m certain it won’t prevent me from dancing this weekend.
On the opening live performance of this year’s Strictly competition, Nick Knowles and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk earned a score of 18 for their Jive routine set to the tune of We Built This City by Starship. This placed them twelfth on the leaderboard for the week.
At the top of the leaderboard stood JB Gill and his dance partner Amy Dowden, earning 31 points for their beautiful Waltz performance to “When I Need You” by Leo Sayer.
Strictly Come Dancing continues every Saturday evening.
