Strike: The Ink Black Heart plot – what’s it about?
In the summary for season 6, it’s stated that a distraught and urgent woman named Edie Ledwell visits the office seeking Robin Ellacott, the private investigator. Robin is unsure about how to interpret this unusual encounter.
In a well-known animated series titled “The Ink Black Heart,” its co-creator, Edie, is being harassed by an enigmatic figure on the internet who uses the alias Anomie. Eager to expose Anomie’s real identity, Edie is determined to unravel this online mystery.
Robin tells Edie that the agency is overloaded and can’t handle her case. She forgets about it until a few weeks later when she learns the disturbing news that Edie was tasered and killed at Highgate Cemetery, where The Ink Black Heart is located.
Robin along with her business partner Cormoran Strike get entangled in the mission to reveal Anomie’s genuine identity. However, they encounter a tangled web of online personas, business ventures, and personal feuds which lead them deep into a case that tests their resilience to the maximum.
In addition, there might be further progression in the romantic tension between Strike and Robin, often depicted as a ‘will they, won’t they’ dynamic. Towards the end of “Troubled Blood”, Strike purchased a bottle of perfume as a birthday gift for Robin, and afterward, they enjoyed a private dinner together.
In this romantic scene, everything seemed to align perfectly for a heartfelt kiss. For an instant, it appeared as if they might share one. However, Strike unexpectedly chose to confess his feelings for Robin at that moment, calling her his “dearest friend.
Though it didn’t bring about the romantic climax many anticipated or presumed, it was undeniably heartwarming. However, could we see them taking their relationship to the next level in season 6?
